The built-in computer enables monitoring and programming of the device. It monitors the remaining capacity and regenerates the softening resin. The frequency depends on the hardness of the water and its quantity. It is possible to set the time and period of the regeneration (early morning hours are set by default). The special ion exchange resin removes calcium and magnesium ions from the water, reduces their concentration in the water and thereby softens it.
Backwashing
When the ion exchange resin is saturated, it needs to be regenerated. The first step of regeneration is flushing the system. Flashing removes the mechanical impurities collected in the filter and on the surface of the resin and loosens the pressure-packed resin so that the regeneration solution can work effectively.
Regeneration
A regeneration brine (concentrated solution of salt) flows through the layers of saturated resin and thus restores its softening capabilities.
