Everything you need to know about water leak detectors
How does a water leak detector work?
The detector continuously monitors the water flow. When it detects a leak or a burst, it automatically shuts off the water supply before damage occurs.
How small a leak can the detector recognise?
The sensor is sensitive from 1–2 l/h, so it also catches small drips.
Can I control the detector remotely?
Yes. The IMT-P-ZL8 and IMT-NEU-LA Pro models are controlled via WiFi and the E-WATER mobile app, so you have an overview of your home even when you are away.
Where is the detector installed?
On the main water supply to the house. It is suitable for family houses, timber-frame houses and commercial premises, especially in combination with automatic filtration systems and pressure regulators.
Do your water softeners also have a detector?
Yes. The IMT-S2 and IMT-S4 softeners have a built-in smart water leak detector.
