How the hydrogen bottle works
The base of the bottle contains an electrolytic generator with a PEM membrane. At the press of a button, electrolysis dissolves molecular hydrogen (H₂) in the water without changing its taste or smell. The bottle is made of borosilicate glass — unlike plastic, it leaves no aftertaste, does not react with water and withstands temperature changes.

What is the hydrogen bottle for?

How long does it take to make hydrogen water?
One cycle takes 3 minutes. Start it with a single press of the button; the bottle lights up and, when the cycle is complete, beeps three times and switches off automatically. The water is ready to drink straight away.
Why must some water stay in the bottom of the bottle?
The polymer membrane (SPE/PEM) must not dry out. A small amount of water in the bottom of the bottle keeps it moist, which is essential for its long life and proper hydrogen production.
Do I need to buy filters or chemical refills?
No. The hydrogen bottle works with drinking water and needs no consumables or chemical additives.
How do I remove limescale from the bottle?
With hard water, limescale may build up on the electrodes. Never scrape it off with sharp objects, as you could damage the electrode surface. Remove deposits safely by rinsing the bottle with a citric acid solution or white vinegar.
Can I use hot water in the bottle?
Yes, but the water temperature must not exceed 80 °C. Do not suddenly pour hot water into cold borosilicate glass, to avoid thermal shock.
Is active hydrogen the same as molecular hydrogen?
Yes. In the context of hydrogen water, active hydrogen and molecular hydrogen (H₂) are the same thing — hydrogen gas dissolved in water.
How long does hydrogen water keep?
The H₂ concentration falls over time and with temperature. Ideally drink hydrogen water within 20–30 minutes of preparing it. If you cannot drink it straight away, keep it in a tightly closed container.
What water should I use?
The bottle works with ordinary tap water as well as filtered water. You will get the best results with water from a nanofiltration system — the water is first cleaned of impurities.
Is hydrogen water safe?
Molecular hydrogen is generally considered safe. Hydrogen water is not a medicine and does not replace medical care.
