The H2O nanotec type C V2 filter cartridge is a new-generation replacement cartridge for the V2 filter on legs with advanced nanotechnology. It works on the principle of rapid adsorption of harmful substances on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and removes chlorine, pesticides, antibiotics, analgesics, hormones, drugs, microplastics and, partially, heavy metals from drinking water. The water loses any unpleasant taste and odour while keeping the beneficial minerals that give it its good taste.

How the type C cartridge works — two filtration stages
- Adsorption on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT): water flows through the filling, whose enormous surface area quickly captures chlorine and its compounds, pesticides, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, hormones, drugs and their metabolites and, partially, heavy metals.
- Laminated nanotextile: at the cartridge outlet, a nanofibre membrane with 0.03 micrometre pores captures all remaining microscopic impurities, bacteria, viruses and microplastics.
Minerals such as calcium and magnesium pass freely through the cartridge, so the filtered water tastes natural and is not “dead” like water from reverse osmosis.
What the cartridge removes — and what it doesn't
The cartridge removes:
- unpleasant odour and taste
- viruses and bacteria
- chlorine and its compounds
- herbicides, pesticides and their metabolites
- pharmaceuticals, hormones, drugs and their metabolites
- microplastics and, partially, heavy metals
The cartridge does not remove:
- beneficial minerals
- water hardness — to protect your appliances from limescale, choose the IMT-S2 water softener
- iron, manganese, nitrates and nitrites — for these we recommend IMT-NC9 nanofiltration
The cartridge's service life depends on local water quality, especially on its organic matter content.
Less plastic, safe materials
The cartridge is now made of medical-grade PP polypropylene and food-grade stainless steel. Both materials are certified for long-term food contact. Compared to the previous generation, the cartridge contains less plastic.
When to replace the cartridge
With normal use, the cartridge lasts a family of four for 3,000–5,000 litres of water. Regardless of the volume filtered, it must be replaced after 6 months at the latest. If your water has a higher organic matter content, its service life may be shorter.
Do not stock up on cartridges. The cartridge is supplied moist, which is a technological feature, and long-term storage could damage it. It is best to order a new cartridge shortly before the planned replacement.

For hygiene reasons, you cannot withdraw from the purchase contract for a filter cartridge once its packaging has been opened (Section 1837(g) of the Czech Civil Code). Which filter does the type C V2 cartridge fit?
The type C V2 cartridge is designed only for the second-generation filter — the V2 filter on legs with advanced nanotechnology. It is not suitable for other filters. If you are not sure which filter version you have, contact us and we will help.
How often does the cartridge need to be replaced?
With normal use, the cartridge lasts a family of four for 3,000–5,000 litres of water. However, it must be replaced after 6 months at the latest, even if you have not filtered that much water. Its service life depends on water quality, especially the organic matter content.
What does the cartridge remove from water?
The cartridge removes chlorine and its compounds, pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, analgesics, hormones, drugs and their metabolites, microplastics, viruses and bacteria, and partially also heavy metals. It also rids water of unpleasant odour and taste.
Does the cartridge remove minerals or water hardness?
No. The cartridge keeps beneficial minerals and therefore does not remove water hardness either. If you need to protect your appliances from limescale, choose the IMT-S2 water softener.
Will the cartridge remove iron, manganese or nitrates from well water?
No, the type C cartridge does not remove iron, manganese, nitrates or nitrites. For water with elevated levels of these, we recommend IMT-NC9 nanofiltration. We will be happy to advise you based on your water analysis.
Why is the cartridge moist on delivery?
The moisture is a technological feature of the cartridge, not a defect. That is why the cartridge is vacuum-sealed in PE film and must never dry out completely before use.
Can I order cartridges in advance to keep in stock?
We do not recommend it. Do not store the cartridge for longer than 1 month, as long-term storage could damage it. Order a new cartridge shortly before the planned replacement; items in stock are dispatched within 2–5 working days.
How do I return a used cartridge and what do I get for it?
Let the cartridge drain, pack it in an airtight bag and register the return via the Customer Portal, which will generate a shipping label. Yes, as long as the packaging is unopened. Once the packaging has been opened, withdrawal is not possible for hygiene reasons (Section 1837(g) of the Czech Civil Code). However, you can always return the used cartridge to us for recycling and get the €8 bonus.
💧 Tip: The type C cartridge protects the drinking water in your kitchen. If you have hard water, add the IMT-S2 water softener to protect your boiler, washing machine and taps from limescale. For well water with nitrates, iron or manganese, choose IMT-NC9 nanofiltration.
