PPC filter cartridge — pre-filtration with activated carbon
The PPC cartridge is the first filtration stage in the IMT-RS8, IMT-RS8 NANO, IMT-NC9 and IMT-NC9 R. It combines mechanical pre-filtration, which captures sand, rust and other undissolved particles, with activated carbon, which removes chlorine and organic odours. This protects the nanofiltration or reverse osmosis membrane downstream.
When to replace the cartridge
The recommended replacement interval is 6–12 months, at the latest after 12 months. With contaminated water or higher consumption, replace it sooner. In the IMT-NC9 and IMT-RS8 NANO, the cartridge is replaced in a few seconds thanks to its bayonet fitting.

Shut off the water supply to the device, open the filtered water tap to release the pressure, replace the cartridge and reopen the supply. In the IMT-NC9 and IMT-RS8 NANO, the cartridge has a bayonet fitting.
