Replacement media for water softeners
USTM-PURON cation resin works by ion exchange. It captures calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺) ions, which cause water hardness, and replaces them with sodium (Na⁺) ions, protecting appliances and pipework against limescale.
It is used as replacement media in cation (brine) softeners such as the IMT-S2 and IMT-S4 and is compatible with most common softening systems. It is regenerated with high-purity tablet salt.
