Replacement PAN ultrafiltration membrane, 0.01 μm
Genuine replacement ultrafiltration membrane (UFM) for the IMT-D3, IMT-U4 and IMT-D5. The PAN (polyacrylonitrile) membrane with 0.01 micrometre pores physically captures and removes viruses, bacteria, algae, sludge, sediments and microplastics, including dead cells. Beneficial minerals (calcium, magnesium) stay in the water.
When to replace the cartridge
The recommended replacement interval is 24–36 months depending on the quality of the incoming water. With higher turbidity or fouling, the membrane needs replacing sooner. Replacing the membrane requires the special H2O nanotec key.
A moist cartridge is normal
The membrane may be moist on delivery. This is not a defect or a quality problem — moisture is essential for the PAN ultrafiltration membrane to work properly.
