Nanofiltration
Nanofiltration – Superior Water Purity with 0.001 μm Membrane
Nanofiltration uses an ultra-fine membrane with pores as small as 0.001 micrometer – ten times finer than ultrafiltration. This technology removes sediments, algae, viruses, bacteria, heavy metals, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, hormones, microplastics, and even drug residues.
The result is water quality comparable to reverse osmosis, but with the added benefit of retaining essential minerals for better health and taste.
We offer nanofiltration exclusively as an under-sink solution – compact, reliable, and perfect for modern households.

FAQ
Everything you need to know about nanofiltration
What does nanofiltration remove from water?
A membrane with 0.001 µm pores removes bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, pesticides, pharmaceutical residues, hormones, microplastics and nanoplastics, and reduces nitrates.
Does nanofiltration keep minerals in the water?
Yes. Unlike reverse osmosis, water after nanofiltration keeps beneficial minerals such as calcium and magnesium.
Which nanofiltration model should I choose?
For under the sink we offer the IMT-NC9 and IMT-RS8 NANO nanofiltration units and our own H2O nanotec V2 filter with patented Czech nanotechnology. Differences in design and cartridges are described on the product pages – if you are not sure, we are happy to advise.
Does nanofiltration help against nitrates?
Nanofiltration reduces nitrates. For higher levels, typically in wells, consider a nitrate removal filter or the media for the IMT-S2/S4 softener, which removes nitrates, nitrites and sulphates.
Can nanofiltration be connected to a kitchen faucet?
Yes. Filtered water can be drawn from a 3-way kitchen faucet – all our faucets are compatible with our filtration systems. For the IMT-NC9 we also offer a SMART faucet.
